Desktop for Mac

Use Desktop when the work depends on more than one app or needs access to your Mac. It runs a bundled agent on the computer and can call remote model and service APIs when the task requires them.

Run a task

Prepare the work.Open the relevant app or file. Keep unrelated sensitive content out of view.
Grant only the permissions you need.Screen Recording lets Clico capture screen context. Accessibility lets it work with app controls. Microphone access is used for voice input.
Describe the result.Say what should be created, changed or checked. Add a file or screen context only when it helps the task.
Review the run.Clico can ask for missing information or confirmation. Destructive operations require a task specific approval, and credential extraction is denied by the host.
Open History.Return to a task, continue the thread and open generated artifacts from the Desktop history view.

Execution: Local desktop process and bundled agent runtime, with remote model or connected service calls where required.
History: Desktop task and session records are stored locally under the signed in Mac user scope.
Temporary captures: Submitted screenshots are removed from persisted task data during privacy cleanup. Recording caches also have cleanup rules.

Chrome Extension

Use the Extension when the page itself is the useful context. Clico can work in ordinary text fields and includes dedicated extraction for complex pages such as Google Docs, Gmail, Lark, Discord and LinkedIn.

Write or transform text

Focus the destination.Click the field where the answer should appear, or select text you want to change.
Open Clico.Press ⌘ O on Mac or Ctrl O on Windows and Linux, then state the change you want.
Check the context.The request can include a structured snapshot of the current page. Add another open tab only when it is relevant.
Insert the result.Review the generated text before accepting it into the page. Press Tab to accept a Highlight suggestion.

Execution: The Extension sends the prompt and chosen page context through Clico backend APIs, then streams the result back into the browser.
History: Account history is synchronized from Clico backend records and cached in Chrome local storage for cross page access.
Page access: The extension is installed with broad page permissions so it can work across sites. The task context is assembled from the active page or content you explicitly select and add.

Clico Web

Use Clico Web for browser conversations, live web research and image generation. Choose a model or Persona, add files and media, then create and continue in the same chat.

Start a conversation

Start with a prompt.Ask a question, draft or rewrite text, or research a current topic.
Choose how Clico responds.Select a supported model and, when tone matters, choose a Persona.
Add useful context.Attach documents, spreadsheets, images, audio or video. Media support depends on the selected model.
Generate an image.Choose Generate Images on the Clico Web home screen or describe the image you want in chat. Clico creates it inside the conversation.
Keep the conversation.Return to saved chats, search loaded history, copy results, delete history items or share a chat by link.

Web research: Search the live web and read public pages without leaving the conversation.
Image generation: Create an image from a description, follow its progress and open the finished result inside the chat.

History: Chats are saved to the signed in account and can be reopened, searched, deleted or shared by link.

Do all three process data the same way?

No. Desktop uses selected Mac context and local task history. The Extension and Clico Web use browser context differently, although both can write to Clico account history.

Clico Web and the Chrome Extension use Clico account records and chat IDs, so supported conversations and artifacts can appear across those browser surfaces. Desktop task and session history is still stored locally on the Mac.

Things to know

Useful details about history, attachments and billing in the current Clico products.

History search: Search checks the history currently loaded on the page. Scroll to load older items before searching them.
Attachments: PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT, MD, CSV and XLSX files use text extraction. Image, audio and video input depends on the selected model. Attach up to 10 files per message, with a limit of 8 MB per file and 20 MB in total.
Account history: Signed in Clico Web and Extension chats use the same account history. Desktop task and session history stays on the Mac.
Credits and billing: The Billing page shows the current plan, remaining credits and management options available to the signed in account. Existing Clico Pro subscriptions may use the existing Clico billing portal. When billing details cannot be verified, plan changes remain unavailable until the account status can be refreshed.
